They’ve been actively recruiting because people are leaving. They have a very bad reputation when it comes to wlb and culture.Employee retention is very poor.Do some DD on this forum and you’ll see
Absolute sweatshop with very political structure.
They have the tendency of demoting people when you join. Culture is quite toxic and the founder is the weirdest individual ever. They have few HH on the case but it does not mean they are actually hiring, they have had several fake roles just to meet people.
Ok this is interesting- why would they bother spend so much time meeting candidates but not to hire anyone? Like they only hire if they meet really good ones? I heard the interview process is very long, much more complicated that a top infra PE house
Good question and I am not entirely sure about the reason but they have been blasting the market with an Asso, VP and Director role for 12 months (been contacted again for it). To your point, I think they just keep it open to meet people just in case they find a gem. They recently recruited an MD from RBC which joined as a D.
I went through their process when I was analyst 1/2 and it was painful and long. Personality and psychometric tests to start with, meeting the other juniors, case study (designed in a way that you cannot finish it), meeting VPs/Ds with various market sizing exercises and oral case studies, meeting the rest of the whole company up to the partners.
Sweaty!
Bump - any update? They have been quite successful with fundraising and doing a few interesting deals.
