I know a lot of firms have always been based / have EU HQs in London but have had their SPVs EU-registered - is this likely to change given the continual deterioration of EU-U.K. post-Brexit relations i.e. firms shift out to Paris, Amsterdam etc… to avoid bureaucratic issues?

I actually agree with the above. Unless London makes another massive own goal (e.g. negative change in carry taxation), the other European cities just don’t have the social and cultural infrastructure to attract anglo PE partner types
