Any PE shops with excellent healthcare benefits?
Do any people know of PE shops with top-tier healthcare benefits? Any size: LMM, MM, UMM, MF
For example, I'm talking about a fully employer-paid health plan — nothing is deducted from your paycheck (100% covered). It has a $0 in-network deductible, $0 in-network out-of-pocket max, $0 out-of-network deductible, and $0 out-of-network out-of-pocket max. If there’s an out-of-network out-of-pocket maximum, it’s ideally small (around $1–2K or less), with about 80% of out-of-network costs covered until you reach that limit. In other words, the company pays 100% of covered care from day one, no matter where you go.
Some funds will cover 100% of your insurance premium and then provide monthly HSA deposit ($300-500) to cover deductible / out-of-pocket, effectively covering everything routine. Have seen this in the LMM, but not sure how common it is broadly
Surprisingly variable in LMM but have most often seen this at legacy UMM funds. My previous LMM firm had this too — $0 premium, $0 deductible healthcare but currently at a different LMM with a mediocre plan.
Is this a joke? They’re going to pay you $500k to $1m a year before you turn 30. And $1 to $5m a year when you’re 30+ … and you’re worried about how much of your monthly health insurance bill they cover? This has got to be a bot.
You must be stupid or living under a rock. You could easily get a medical bill for $200k, $400k, or $1m+ in the United States that can bankrupt 99.9% of people (unless you're a multimillionaire). You don't know my personal situation or my family's situation, so shut the fuck up.
Sorry you're dealing with health-related expenses - completely sucks. However, it seems unlikely you'd incur that kind of liability unless you're completely uninsured. You may have a ridiculously high co-pay in some cases (like $15k+ per year) but I don't see how you would be on the hook for all of it.
You seem like you don't understand how health insurance works.
You should maybe go ask a grown up to explain to you how insurance works. While you’re at it maybe also research how “easily” someone with health insurance incurs 6-7 digit out of pocket medical expenses. And whether a private equity professional is considered an “average American”

Def not apollo cuz you will start to have heart problems while you are there
lol
Short answer is yes. Many larger shops offer "gold-plated" benefits that are fully covered. You may still have a modest copay (i.e $30 for a typical visit) depending on specialty, but that is about it. Also likely a FSA or HSA option to defray even those costs and ancillary costs.
Many funds have very good insurance based on my experience
