Anyone have any insight on Paine Schwartz Partners?

Paine Schwartz Partners
~$1.4B AUM
New York, NY
"A global leader in sustainable food chain investing, Paine Schwartz Partners is a private equity firm that focuses on investment opportunities in the fast-growing, dynamic global food and agribusiness sectors. The firm's investment, operations and finance professionals invest throughout cycles across the food and agribusiness value chain, and bring a collaborative and active management approach to portfolio companies."

I recently met briefly with a guy who has been there for a while and he seems to love his job. Currently off traveling so I can't sit down and talk with him about any real details, but he said did mention possible internships. I like the idea of a firm that has a primary objective (after making returns of course) to help better the world in some way. As it is right now I'm more interested in hedge funds in the long run, starting at a bank most likely but I would like to learn more about the PE landscape after having met several professionals who all seem much more fulfilled than most bankers I talk to.

Anonymous244729, what's your opinion? Comment below:

One of my friends from my IB analyst class I think went there for his PE associate program. He was a great analyst and fun/nice colleague from what I knew about him / remember from the time. I think he may have put in a couple of years there and now is at some fast growing / hot kinda fintech start up (I think called Pilot) that is raising big rounds at high valuations from what I've seen

Bro you've been tricked by Ben Matan Miran, the guy is a crackhead posting on WSO. Literally none of what he writes is true and everything is factually wrong.

$1.4 bn is the latest fund size, not AUM. They seem solid / have had good returns, though I think the hours can be rough

Have heard mixed reviews on hours. Know anything about interview process and COMP?
