Ares/Bx/Bain Cap Credit vs. Aeris/DBO/Shea

Hi everyone, I have internship offers from both the private credit team of one of the listed firms above and also have an IB offer from one of the listed IB firms. I am not dead-set on MF PE and through my past internships am leaning towards a greater interest in tech/growth equity/growth PE. Saw a similar post about taking a PC role as an intern and I definitely have interest in the credit markets but unsure if it is the right sector/sector that I want to work in. My thinking is take the PC role and if I realize it is not a good fit it would not be hard to FT recruit from one of those shops.

Also, I have upcoming interviews with several BB/EBs and a growth equity firm (GA/Insight/TCV type). If my initial inclination is towards growth equity/growth PE should I take the boutique offer, take the credit internship to see if it is good fit, or keep recruiting?

Thank you in advance!

Are you in any top tech banking processes right now? If you let them know and see if you can turn it into that offer if growth/tech is what you want? If not, what sort of debt financing does your shop focus on? Different types will offer different experiences? Vanilla HY syndicate is different than rescue financing is different than venture debt
