Overall, it’s a relatively new and ok performing fund that invests in fairly boring middle market growth businesses, but it’s run by decent people.

As a Junior, you’ll primarily be doing sourcing and deal execution. The sourcing part can get rough since you’ll be expected to specialize in one of their verticals (like IT infrastructure or healthcare) so you really need to enjoy what you’re aligned to. The businesses they invest in are quite boring IMO, so I would suggest reviewing their portfolio very closely to see if you can imagine yourself spending a significant bulk of your time speaking to dozens of middle market companies in the space.

Performance is ok. Other than maybe Mixpanel (which they likely overpaid for), their portfolio is nothing to write home about. They claim to be very price sensitive so they’re often focusing on cheaper deals that you’ll never read about. Despite that, most of the deals they did during the Covid bubble looked significantly overpriced to me. They invest in verticals that will be pretty hit by growth and VC market freeze right now too, so I can’t imagine they’re doing much but taking write downs right now.

Culture-wise, I have nothing but good things to say about the people I spoke with there. They seemed sharp and kind.

Not sure on comp.
