BB to Strategic Investment, How to move to ---> PE/Private Credit?

Hi all, just want to gain some career advice on how to transfer from Corporate Finance to Private Equity/Credit Industry, in Asia vs US. I had 2 year IBD experience at one US BB bank and then transfer to the strategic investment role at a listed company that provides supply chain business. But currently still want to break into PE/PC industry, not in a corpoate enviroment. Is there a chance for me or I have to pursue an MBA for career transition?
