Best Resources for PE News/Research
I am starting to look for funds/firms I would like to research in preparation for on cycle PE recruiting. Where do you guys get your PE news from? Where do you recommend looking for funds by categories such as strategy (controlling vs non controlling stakes), industry vertical, fund size, overall firm size, city etc?
I have found Private Equity International which is a good start. However, researching by categories listed above you need premium access. Also read Axios Pro Rata for daily news. Thanks in advance, any direction would be appreciated.

If you somehow have access to PitchBook it is a really useful database
Look through the files for a sell-side deal from your bank, there's probably a prospect / potential buyer tracker with all the information you need.
More importantly it should give you some idea as to how those firms / groups are perceived by your senior bankers, as well as what relationships they have
PE Hub has a free daily newsletter covering new investments, fundraising, hiring, and more general sponsor trends that is worth skimming through each day
