At least from the HF perspective, the platforms are always hiring. I think given your experience in IR, you could at least get initial conversations going.
Could always try to find an allocator seat that also does a bunch of co-invest.
What kind of dollars in salary are folks looking at in allocator seats?
Will vary a bit 1) based on AUM, 2) type (endowment vs. pension vs. family office vs. foundation vs. investment advisor), 3) location (only throwing this out there given greater chance of not being in a core finance city), but it's still really good money with much better hours and lifestyle generally.
