Best Work Laptop?

New firm told me I can choose any laptop to start with, Apple, Windows, Lenovo, Surface Pro, etc. I've always used Lenovos in the past and never had any issues with them. Any thoughts on the Surface Pro or any Macbook as a work laptop in PE? Thought the Surface Pro might be interesting, but not sure if it's conducive to our line of work.

Has been asked and answered multiple times--Go with a Lenovo X1

I use the surface pro 8 and absolutely love it. It's insanely light and super easy to slip into a bag, and I like the different form factors it offers. Have absolutely no issues with performance either, can handle anything I throw at it.

The Lenovo X1 Carbon is great to hook up and work off monitors + docking stn. But I really dislike it as an on-the-go laptop - the fact that it it's FN on the most left-hand side really irks me. I also don't like the keyboard's placement of the PGUP/PGDN keys (adjacent to the top arrow).

Don't go for surface pro. Overrated. Can replace 90% of that functionality by getting an iPad and/or travel monitor.

If the firm says you can have anything you want - would look into the hp zbook line. They're north of $2K+ so can get pricey but they are absolute power horses

Regardless - the #1 most important thing is looking for a laptop w min 8GB memory and MUST BE SSD storage (any decent laptop should be SSD by now)
