Blackstone Case Interview PE Analyst
I recently applied for a analyst position under Blackstone's Private Equity Investor Product Strategy practice. It seems like it is a middle office position, just a lot of prepping of marketing materials for new funds. I received great feedback from my 2 behavioral interviews now I am moving onto the case. I get 45 minutes to analyze data in an excel and to create a single page slide deck. The AVP said it honestly is really easy and it won't be an LBO similar to their actual private equity case studies, but I don't know what to expect. I want to best prepare and study so I do well. What I got from the interviews is their practice mainly just does a lot of aggregation, cash flows, and IPR's.
I am coming from Big 4 consulting so I work in excel everyday and am very proficient in functions, but was wondering if anyone has any insight on the case and how I can best prepare. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
