Blackstone tactical opps

hey guys,

I have an interview scheduled with tac opps for next week (with 2 MDs from the team).

Would anyone be able to provide any pointers on potential questions, things I need to know before hand. Any technical questions?

My background is BB LevFin (2yrs) + mgmt consult (2yrs).

Thanks

"abnba" basically, as I understand, tac ops focus on companies that don't fall within the mandate of the other divisions, so they're fairly diverse in terms of the asset classes they play across. Hence, given the broad mandate they have, wasn't sure of what my starting point should be

They look at securitized products, LBOs, assets, real estate, etc.

It's a very intellectual group. Not super bro-ey. You should be sharp, understand in the weeds and fundamentally how you think about things across the cap structure, in a portfolio, and on a relative basis
