Breaking into hybrid PE / HF funds?
Has anyone broke into a hybrid HF / PE type fund that focuses on opportunistic public and private opportunities? Thinking about funds like Fortress, Varde, Atalaya, Victory Park, Castlelake, etc. Process of breaking in and what types of backgrounds are typically favored for funds such as these? Also what are the types of skills that are garnered from being an investment professional at such funds?
