Anyone have info on comp, lifestyle, reputation, culture, etc at Bregal Sagemount? Saw they closed a decent fund recently.

Growth arm of a larger family office for a wealthy European family. Not sure about culture, but have heard that M&A analysts from bulges do exit to the group.
First round and superday at Bregal Sagemount last year. Very tight group and associate level is basically the only way into the firm (mid-level and senior guys have all been there since the beginning). Founders all from Goldman SSG. Group in the superday was M&A analysts from BB and EB and I think they take 1 or 2 every year.
Cant speak to comp directly but the implication from the interviews / Q&A was that their junior folks get solid carry and top-level comp. Very small team for the AUM and performance has apparently been very very good. Relatively intense interview process; model test and technical…they spent a lot of time on the fit side and communication skills as well.
what does top level comp mean here? comparable to MF/UMM?
Was the model test a typical LBO?

Interviews stressed ability to source and hunger, with the quote “if you source deals you’ll get fucking paid” from the founder. Case studies and model super straightforward.
Super cool people but it’s very clear that it’s much like the other sourcing engine growth firms, but smaller and more tight knit.
