Business class flight tickets standard?

Hey all, been at a solid MM PE fund for a few years. Our travel policy allows partners to purchase business class fares for work travel (board meetings, MPs, site visits, conferences, etc.) but everyone else is only allowed economy+. Is this standard for MM PE? I fly at least once a month, sometimes twice a month.

Expectation is that we work on flights. Working is a lot easier in business class with the extra space.

You're luckier than us. At a $10B+ UMM that's too cheap to allow anyone from Associate to VP to fly anything but standard economy. If it's a coast to coast domestic flight, you get economy plus, and only if flying international can you book business. Given 90% of our travel is to flyover states, you're flying economy pretty much all the time, and are expected to work on the flight. Don't worry though, through all the money we've saved by making the travel experience as miserable as possible for juniors, we have extra cash for things like branded napkins and notebooks along with a bunch of other things collecting dust throughout the office. Yes I know it's a first world problem, but I have friends working standard 9-5 corporate chiller jobs with better travel policies than even our VPs have lol.
