Cap Formation Pe vs Placement Agent Internship advice

Hey guys,

I am currently a Junior at a semi-target school looking for an internship for this upcoming summer. I have prior experience in IB and Management Consulting. After completing both of those roles as well as doing additional research, I have ultimately decided that I want to ultimately end up doing capital formation at a private equity firm. The cap form/ fundraising career is exciting to me for a few reasons. First of all, after doing two heavily analytical internships, I have come to realize that I think I would excel more in a client/relationship based role - it aligns more with my personality and I find it much more interesting and exciting. It is also very appealing to be part of capital raising as it is such a fundamental aspect to the success of a firm. With all of that in mind, I wanted to get your guys input on a few things. What are some good firms to look at that offer internships for my rising senior summer? Am I too late? And would it be more valuable to get this experience in house or at a placement agent.

Thanks in advance for any insight
