Capital Markets Analyst - Vista Equity Partners

I've got a first round interview (just HR/recruiter) coming up for an analyst position on the capital markets team at Vista Equity Partners. Role is supposedly in SF although I've heard that the team isn't so kinda weird.

I was hoping to just get some more information about how internal capital markets teams operate at PE firms such as this. Also if anyone has any specific insight into this team, the culture, or interview process at Vista that would be great. Do cap markets typically work less hours than the true PE analyst/associates?

I'm not sure if I should expect a modeling test because they say it's more of a training program, but if I did get one, would it be an LBO model?

The team is split between SF and Austin, although the senior guys are in Austin. These roles entail (i) identifying which lenders are the best fit for a potential opportunity (new platform financing, refinancing, incremental) based on their investment criteria, (ii) help manage the outreach process, including preparing lender presentations/answering DD questions, (iii) negotiating terms/grids/legal docs, and (iv) depending on the firm, helping with lender reporting, etc. You will also be involved with negotiating.  amendments/waivers/etc. Vista obviously has a huge portfolio, so I would image there is always something going. I would say until about a year ago, internal cap markets teams were one of the most cushy jobs in PE since you had lenders begging to be in all of your deals at extremely sponsor/lender friendly terms. It's likely tougher now since the cost of debt has increased dramatically (will be getting pressure from deal teams) and many lenders have pulled back.
