Career Advice: Starting Career In Family Office
Hello. I just graduated from college, and currently have an offer working as an Investment Analyst at a single family office (think one of the richest families in Asia). Should I accept the offer or should I shop around? What will my career prospects be like if I take on this offer? Thank you! Greatly appreciate any feedback!
Relevant Resource: Family Office Database
The only information you provided was that they are one of the richest families in Asia...which isn't very helpful. How many deals do they do a year? Industry focus? Avg transaction size? Size of investing team? International exposure? How much will you travel? Company culture? Opportunity to move up / 2 year and out program? Answer at least some of these questions and it will point you in the right direction towards an accept or decline decision.
Bump. curious as well.

I have recently become interested in pursuing a career in a family office. Does anyone have any experience about their steps to achieving that position?
Also, is a Client Service Associate at a MFO, while working towards CFA, a step towards getting an entry level analyst position in this field.
