Change in Lifestyle

What is the change in lifestyle actually like going from IBD to PE (2nd year analyst to associate)? It depends, of course, but it sounds like most funds outside of the megafunds do about 60 hours a week. Does the drop in hours from 80-90 in IBD to 60 in PE really make your life that much better? Is it more about having a more set schedule, not having to work the weekends, etc.? I ask this as I end an absolutely brutal week - I've put in 95 hours since Monday and I have another day in front of me, and right now I feel like my life is over. So if people would be willing to explain their experience(s) and how the change actually impacts lifestyle, I would love to hear it. Thanks all.
