Chicago Special Sits Scene?

Anyone familiar with the Chicago special situations scene? Doesn’t seem like there are too many shops of that nature. Looks like Victory Park, Origami Capital, Wynnchurch in the suburbs, GCM strategic investments, All State Opportunistic group, etc. Seems like Minnesota has more prominent shops like Varde, Castlelake, CarVal, etc., but open to others thoughts

Is anyone familiar with any of the above as it relates to reputation, comp, career trajectory, types of investments each make, etc.
