Commerical Case Study Advice Needed - PE Recruitment

Hi Monkeys,

In one of the recent recruitment processes I received a CIM and had 60 minutes to familiarize myself with it, then present my recommendation to interviewer, who acted as the IC. The LBO model was not part of the task ask there is a separate LBO modelling test.

The structure I came up with was:

1. Company introduction (Services, Markets, Revenue split by product)
2. Market overview (Dynamics, Value chain, Cyclicality)
3. Company overview (Market position, History, Financials)
4. Competition
5. Growth prospects
6. Areas for dilligence
7. Merits / Strengths
8. Risks / Weaknesses
9. Summary / Recommendation

Feedback I got was that (i) my response was unstructured, (ii) it was more of an IM walk-through rather than investment recommendation.

How would you approach this task? Is there any element that I am missing in my framework?

Any advice would be highly appreciated!
