Comp Increase per Year?

Does anyone have insight into what is common on the buyside when it comes to cash comp increases with each YOE? For example if it's a 2-3 year associate program, is there a meaningful bump in total comp between As1 As2 As3?

If there are bumps, are they usually by default like in IB or are they only if performance exceeds expectations?
