Digital Infrastructure / Telecom Funds?

Anyone have insights on the top names in the space? I know KKR and Stonepeak are pretty active in the space and saw that GI raised a recent fund focused on the area. What are the thoughts on those funds plus others who focus here?

This space sucks to invest in I highly encourage you to reconsider; can't provide more details other than it's not exactly growthy and if you're grubbing around for value there's more attractive / flexible industries in which to do that where you aren't currently fucked by negative surprises where you expect to find growth but there is none

Digital infrastructure? Not growthy??

Are you talking about pure-play digital funds or infrastructure investors investing in digital?

There's a valid thesis behind integrating digital solutions into infrastructure assets to augment the service level (look at DB acquiring AMP and rolling out private 5G at the airports). I'm absolutely fascinated by the space but am not sold on a pure-play digital fund. Inflation and supply chain issues are making fiber rollout and new datacenter build difficult, further driving an increase in the already high valuations 20-30x i.e. brownfield premium. I think having that multi-sector approach (Blackstone/Stonepeak/KKR) allows you to hang on the sidelines and focus on transpo/renewables or participate and unlock those synergies between outdated infrastructure (one of the least digitized sectors) and digital. Thoughts?
