Easy to Understand + Interesting Distressed/Spec Sits?

I need examples of distressed/spec sits deals that:

-Are easy for someone without a ton of experience to understand. Think first year student in college or university.

-Aren't too niche. It should be in a space that a normal person could understand. No Baupost ppg subrogation claims! Your avg person will not be able to follow along.

-Have come to a conclusion. Nothing mid-deal preferably.

-Ideally, the whole thing can be explained in simple terms within 2 - 5 minutes.

-Bonus points if the subject is a well-known US based company in consumer.

Would also love bullet points/ideas around what makes distressed investing unique, who it's for, and who it's not for.

This is for a teaching thing for people who are not in finance, so simplicity is critical!

s921, what's your opinion? Comment below:

I've just used the Boxco example from Moyer. You could dress it up a bit more or throw in some fake names but I think it's sufficient to get across the point.
