Elite / Rising PE Shops
The names are endless in PE if you step out of the realm of MMF. Feel free to post any PE shop names / locations here with any details you can provide about pay, size, sector focus, founders (i.e. ex-BX / KKR, etc.), or anything like that.
Anyone know of a good place to source these names for recruiting?
Patient Square Capital is a fund that’s seeking $3 billion for a healthcare-focused fund. Head guy is Jim Momtazee, who led the healthcare group at KKR. Recruited some other high flyers.
Arcline debuted with a $1.5B fund two years ago (started by a partner from the industrials group at Golden Gate). Just raised a $2.75B fund recently. Unsurprisingly seems to have an industrials focus.
Would add Cove Hill. Debuted with $1B fund and recently raised $1.5B. Head guy there is former Bain Capital, with other senior guys former GA, Insight, and THL. Consumer and Tech focused.
Have heard anecdotally that their returns are also super impressive
Baypine hasn't raised it's first fund but has some pretty heavy hitters as founders. Namely Dave Roux, Anjan Mukherjee, and Wan Long Martello (operating).
Digital Colony $4 billion first fund, raising second. Digital infrastructure, ran out of Boca Raton and New York
Brighton Park Capital is a top up-and-coming growth equity fund. Founder was #2 at General Atlantic. Pretty large first-time fund at over $1B. Have hired folks from top growth shops (GA, JMI, TCV, Summit, etc.). Heard performance has been very good.
Arctos Sports Partners. Largest first time fund ever.
On the smaller end of the spectrum I thought what Pine Island Capital are doing is pretty cool.

Consonance Capital in healthcare, ~5x MOIC in their first fund according to PE hub. Just raised a ~$1bn fund II
