Career Resources
As frequently discussed on here, there is truly no archetypal family office— each will have distinct strategies, personnel, comp policies etc that are usually at the family’s discretion, as opposed to the fair amount of standardization across comparable institutional funds. Some family offices are, as you suggested, the best place to be, others are heavily influenced by entitled and unsophisticated family members who live off family money. I personally love the idea of the family office route, but they are all truly one of a kind.
