Fiume Capital was formerly known as Fertitta Capital. The firm was founded in 2017 as a single-family office for the Fertitta family, led by the two brothers, Lorenzo and Frank.

The Fertitta brothers are predominantly known for their purchase of the UFC in 2001. They also IPO'd a family casino business, Red Rock resorts, around 2017. These two large liquidity events were the impetus for the creation of their family office.

The team makes meaningful investments within the media, entertainment, sports and experiential real estate sectors. While not all investments are controlling stakes, they do look to be heavily involved and seek board seats. Current investments include an online kids digital entertainment brand and an innovative youth sports company. Historically, the family has been involved in the gaming & casino space and they are currently operating under a very flexible mandate.

Looks like they are pretty scaled with 20+ employees at the firm. Can’t really comment on returns or culture.
