Francisco Partners Reputation

Have an upcoming final round with Francisco and was just wondering if anyone here had any intel on updated reputation, b-school placement, returns etc. because there are relatively few threads on here that are recent.

From what I understand they are one of the top 5ish tech-focused buyout shops outside of Thoma/Vista/Silver Lake and maybe Hg/ClearLake, have a lot of recent momentum with deal of the year this year, 26%+ IRR on fund vintages post-2015, etc.

Typically see comparisons of general tier placing them among top UMM funds like GTCR, New Mountain, etc. and their current $12bn fundraise would put them in a size range sort of blurring the line between UMM/MF

How would you compare them to tech groups at large-caps like TPG, WP, or Carlyle? Is H/S attainable if you aren't URM? Have anecdotally heard that the pipeline to Stanford GSB is strong as CEO is on the advisory council, and was on the board of trustees / Chair of the GSB management board previously, but any data points would be helpful
