great group from both culture and deal perspective. if you're not interested in lower middle market PE, don't go near them.
Edit: looks like culture changed since i interviewed with them

dealt with them when i was in banking. few of the guys are slimeballs, retraded a few deals. analysts/associates get worked hard. culture seems like it sucks

Cant speak to comp but I've heard bad things about culture. Doesnt sound like the best place to work.

Gryphon is a great shop and culture seems strong. The team is also pleasant to work with - seem down to earth and collaborative. Have done a couple deals with them.
