Has 2022 On-Cycle Private Equity recruiting started?
I've heard that it has and hasn't from different people. I know that 2021 recruiting started in september of 2019, but it seems like this is later.

Nope. Looking like a September 2021 start for on-cycle 2022.
Wow. Do you think 2023 will start right after (ie in November/December)? I think these PE firms only care about in person interviews.
No 2023 interviews probably won't happen until 2022
There's literally a thread on this bro

Anyone have an update on timing?

After Labor Day is what I've heard in terms of 2022 On-Cycle. 2023 will probably be in 2022.
Starting now. HHs pinging people
So is this for people to start in the summer of 2022 (analysts that started last year) or is it for the summer of 2023 (analysts that started this year)?
If this is for the former, Isn't this later than when it has historically started?
started today. 2020 grads for 2022 summer start.
got pinged but opted out lol. not ready at all lmao
Just curious, why do you feel unprepared / not ready? Is it because you don't want to do PE or you feel like you don't have enough experience to make a decision on career path forward.
If this is for the class of 2020, it seems like you've had enough experience to make a decision (1+ year).
in a coverage group that doesn't do in-house modeling so prepping for on-cycle interviews will be a shit show
high chance of not converting an offer coming from a non-target without good modeling experience - not worth all the stress
not 100% set on PE and currently in a relatively comfy seat at a solid firm - think i have good runway
mainly i'm just too lazy to put in the work if i'm not confident i can convert a good offer
Wait ! Interviews with PE firms started today ? or is it coffee chats ?
Is it a good or bad idea to opt out if you don’t have strong model experience / aren’t prepared to interview next week?
If I'm interested in recruiting on-cycle as a 2nd-year analyst (consulting) next year, should I reply and make that clear to HHs?
