Head Hunters - Did I Screw Up?

Last year, I met with headhunters for PE recruiting. These people reached out through my email, and I knew I wanted to do PE, but honestly I didn't know you had to prep for these calls nor that they judged you based on your answers, etc. I honestly just treated it as a conversation to learn more about the companies they had and told them why I started in IB, etc. Point is in retrospect I think that possible my lack of awareness of them judging me and room temperature answers to why I wanted to do PE might've damaged relationships there. I also didn't have my visa yet, which HH pointed would place me in a difficult position to recruit (tbh they were right). I still got a constant flow of emails from them, but I just didn't answer (as I was advised too). Now I'm ready to recruit and got my visa, but unsure how favorable I look to these HH. Wanted to know if anyone has insights / opinions on this or tips on how to better my relationship with these HH?

Just reach out to them, asking to set up a call/coffee chat. This time, prepare 100% to sell yourself, as you certainly get rated based on these 'intro' meetings
