HF analyst to PE associate?
Hi, I’m a first year at a HF (joined right out of college) and am deeply regretting going into this industry. What can I do to lateral to PE? Is it possible?

Think you might stand a chance depending on the type of HF. You can also lateral to IB and go from there.
The problem with this move is that you were trained to invest at a HF, which has almost nothing to do with PE recruiting. They just want the most polished and pedigreed process monkey.
