How can I transition from a Liberal Arts undergrad, working for my family's business, to a PE firm?
I'm a graduate from a good Canadian university with a liberal arts degree, intending for most of my life to go into law. Unfortunately, I realized quickly (though at least it was before I was actually in law school) that I hated law. While trying to figure out what it is I actually enjoyed, I worked with my family managing our real estate assets. It's fine, I suppose, though not challenging and has no room for actual growth. In my spare time I began reading up on finance and started actually investing on my own and I do enjoy it a fair amount.
I'm interested in trying to work in private equity, but I'm wondering if it's even possible. I have the unrelated bachelors (and a not great GPA, like a 3.0, though I do have good LSATs), no related experience, living in Canada so there are fewer firms/openings, and even my work requires no financial modelling. How unrealistic is it? What steps can I take?

Why do you find it interesting?
Having real estate experience, have you thought to REPE?
BTW, nothing is impossible in life.
