How do private equity companies find opportunities?

Hello WSO friends, I am new to all this, I am 15 years old and I am interested in private capital I have a few doubts about how private equity companies find the other companies that they are going to buy and what advice they could give me or books that they recommend to excel in the industry and also if you have to be very good with math thanks
