How Does a Jefferies IB analyst look to PE Recruiters vs a Bulge Bracket
I'm weighing a couple of IB offers. How does an IB analyst at Jefferies look to PE recruiters compared to being from a bulge bracket bank? Any advice/help would be great. thanks guys.
If you eventually want to do PE, a BB would definitely be a better choice:
Better reputation, harder to get in - demonstrates you're a very competitive candidate with well trained backgrounds;
You'd have exposure to more high profile deals at a BB than at a smaller firm like Jefferies;
If I were you I'd choose whichever BB you have an offer.
