How does Warburg Tech work
My understanding:
* IBS = Large cap tech buyouts
* Tech = Growthy deals
My questions for each, mainly about the Senior Associate level (thinking about destination post- my current Associate program or post- bschool)
* Sourcing (Y/N)
* Hours (better than street UMM/MF, same as street, worse than street)
* Culture (hierarchical vs. autonomous, personal life ok (e.g., vacations holidays) vs always expected to work through)
* Typical level of portfolio involvement
* Diligence style (e.g., crazy detailed models, macro-picture investors, make money through M&A, etc.)
* Returns underwritten (e.g., does growth team look for 3-5x, look for venture-y returns, how do they underwrite)
* Staffing (do you pick who you work with, can you choose which areas to focus on if you are sourcing, etc.)
