How should I prep for FT PE interviews/superdays (MFs in particular)?

Currently an SA at an EB keeping an eye out for some PE FT applications and have done assessments/online first rounds for some firms. For some background, I go to a non-target and am somewhat involved in my finance clubs, but I haven't done a stock pitch or a really deep dive of a company's financial. I like reading about general industry trends but would say my analytical skills of a company's operations and business is weak.

I'm comfortable with interview-level stuff for accounting, valuation, DCF, LBO (rusty but brushing up), but am worried about the inevitable questions related to investing that will come up in later rounds. Is there any way for me to ramp up this knowledge, specifically those related to PE, within the next two weeks and couple of months? Wondering if I should be reading some kind of an investing book, or if the ROI on that is too little bc reading a whole book/textbook would take too long, esp during my SA

I have no idea where to start other than studying for LBOs, understanding the drivers and key metrics behind them, picking some companies that I'm interested in the groups I'm interviewing for have done or an in the periphery of (though I still don't know how to analyze them or speak coherently on it, don't know what's expected at the MF interview level), and just want to be as prepared as possible if I happen to get second rounds and what not. Any advice? Anybody previously in as similar position as me? Thank you!

Not to rain on your parade, but it is next to impossible to land MF FT from a non-target without interning there previously. Effectively all of their spots go to people who interned there soph/junior years, and the remaining one or two spots are usually just filled through OCR at top targets. And that's in a good year - in this environment, I don't think they will extend additional FT spots beyond the intern hiring - you're looking at maybe a handful of total spots across all MFs. This is kind of a waste of time when you have an important internship to focus on.

I would honestly focus your energy on your internship as return offers will be crucial this summer. Any time you're spending networking/interviewing/studying is taking time away from being a star at your current job.
