Hi all—I’m a college senior with a decently sized investment portfolio but have been trying to get some PE exposure. Have around $10-15k that I could devote to a single fund (ideally lower-MM). However, am aware that most <$1bn funds won’t even take LP commitments below $5-10m. Is there any way for me to get exposure to the PE asset class with my small amount of money—maybe in a friends & family type vehicle?

Do you have any friends or family? If not your and you want pure privates, best bet is probably to try and get a job at a small fund somewhere.
If you’re willing to be a little more flexible there are:
BDCs, stocks like BX / Apollo / KKR, BlueOwl (Dyal & Owl Rock), REITs, Mortgage REITs - all might offer different variants of the exposure you are looking for
The only vehicle would be if your dad is investing x amount of money in a fund and you ask him to put some money for you.
Even if LMM were to accept your money you would need to be an accredited investor which most college seniors aren't
KKR is likely ur best bet. Decent IRR but looked way better under $60.
