Incoming IBD SA vs Buy-side insight program

I'm an incoming IBD SA, and I’ve been accepted into a short buy-side insight / training programme run by a third-party (educational / talent platform) taking place shortly before the summer.

Two quick questions:

  1. Visibility: Do banks get visibility on participation in these programmes (HR or team level), especially if the platform works closely with banks (they source some candidates for my bank)?
  2. Perception: More broadly, how are buy-side internships or programmes between SA and FT viewed by IB teams? Any real risk of being seen as a flight risk or treated differently as a new analyst?

Thanks in advance.
