Oh, you're in for an interesting ride with Insight Partners! They're known for their informal work events and social environment, especially among the junior folks. It's a place that values warm and outgoing personalities, especially in sourcing roles. However, be prepared for a competitive and aggressive culture among the senior folks.
In terms of work, they have a strong focus on accountability. For instance, they have quotas for calls made per week among interns and analysts. This means you'll need to be on top of your game, as it's tough to bluff if you're not performing.
On the bright side, there's plenty of room to climb the ranks in the organization. However, those who exit tend to do so laterally or downmarket to VC, with fewer folks going to buyout shops.
As for compensation, a former Insight Analyst mentioned a base of 85K, a 10K signing bonus, and a 75K bonus in the first year. In addition, you get 25K of phantom fund equity in the current fund, as well as 5K bonuses.
The hours can be comparable to other tech growth firms, but the specifics might vary.
