Thoughts on Insight Partners
Recently got selected for an in person event at their HQ in NYC this coming spring.
I honestly could not find any info on them besides they’re a VC/PE firm with $30 billion AUM.
Any and all info is appreciated.
Amazing place. Focuses exclusively on software, and does anything from Series A to LBOs. Just raised a $20B fund, they are easily one of the top 3 largest software investors in the world right now.
Analyst role is heavy on cold-calling - your job is to source new deals and to get to know founders. You are working for one of the 6 IC partners, and each partner has slightly different focus (e.g., infra software, B2C, B2B, early stage, buyout).
Pay is as good as it gets, in line with the best-paying MF PEs, and hours are much better, probably ~60h weeks on average.
