Investment memo and supplementary investment analysis slides on a Private Equity co-invest fund
Hey everyone, I am currently interviewing at a firm and was told to do up a one page investment memo and supplementary investment analysis slides (limited to 5 slides) on a Private Equity co-invest fund. I was wondering what are the main differences of writing an investment memo for a fund instead of a company and how to go about completing it. Structure-wise for the investment memo I was thinking of:
- Business summary / executive overview of the fund
- Financial Performance
- Strategic Plan/Thesis
but it is still a rough draft at this point. Also, quite a dumb question but I was wondering if there is a need to have a clear recommendation (whether I would invest in this fund or not) either at the beginning or the end of the memo.
As for the slides, all they said was to "present data and associated key points". Just wondering, what are some of the figures and datas I have to include?
Thank you for reading till here and I appreciate all the help I can get. Stay safe!
