Is being an actor, NFL/NBA/NHL athlete, model or singer on the same level as PE MF?

I have noticed a trend amongst both my male and female colleagues at the PE MF I work at who pretty much only exclusively date other PE MF financiers, or in rare cases, lower-tier HF virgins. Some of the females I work with are regularly approached by mid-tier athletes (think NBA/NFL), B-list celebrities (think 8-15MM followers on Instagram), mid-tier hip-hop artists (5-7MM followers on Instagram and 1-2 platinum labels), but they look down on them in disdain.

I think the common consensus in this industry is that actors, athletes, singers and models are more equivalent to working at a tier 2/UMM PE shop (Carlyle, Bain, Ares), or top EB IBD (PJT, CVP, Rothschild), as opposed to a PE MF or Tiger Cub.

Let me know your thoughts, but personally I might make an exception and choose a higher tier model/actress over a Tiger Cub female.
