Lateral into Tech PE Feasible?
2nd year analyst recruiting off-cycle for buyside right now. Currently, I’m just taking interviews for pretty much anything in New York, regardless of how interested I am in the work they do.
Feel like I dropped the ball on a lot of the MM Tech PE opportunities during on-cycle, and at this point am just looking to secure a job post banking. Am in some late stage processes with firms covering business services / industrials, but wondering if it would be feasible to lateral into tech investing after a year or two.
Recruit directly into tech PE.
Issue is that most of these firms are in CA / Boston. Open to going there down the road but not at this point in my life
