Leaving firm after ~6 months?
Recently joined a large cap fund after lateraling from a 3-year associate role at a MM fund. I took this job out of desperation during the dark days of COVID and have been pretty miserable since. Culture sucks, hours are worse, less responsibility/ownership over deals, etc.
Have seen more opps for senior associates/VPs but the hiring market doesn't seem back 100%. Will I be viewed as a red flag for bouncing so soon? Should I even put this 6 mo. stint on my resume?
.
Yeah you could leave. Just give our monkey community on this forum the opportunity of valuable insight as to what exactly you do/ rough job spec, in case they're interested and a better fit. Having a job in this market is a blessing.
