LEK vs EYP SSG for PE Recruiting

Struck out of MBB recruiting, so I realize I'm not in the absolute best position to break into PE. That said, MF PE isn't really the goal anyway, and I'd be more than happy landing at a solid MM fund.

I've received an offer from L.E.K., which I know is a very DD-heavy shop and seems to have a pretty solid track record of placing consultants into MM PE funds. I'd also be joining as a generalist, which I see as a plus since I'd get exposure to a broader range of industries and potentially have more opportunities to recruit for industry-agnostic or sector-specific funds.

At the same time, I'm currently interviewing for EY-Parthenon's Software Strategy Group. I'm curious whether EYP Software Strategy is viewed as more prestigious or carries more weight with PE recruiters, particularly given its specialization in software and tech.

I'm open to both investing and portfolio operations/value creation roles in PE, and I'm pretty industry-agnostic. I'd also ideally like to keep the door open to product management or strategy & operations roles at tech companies/startups down the line.

Would appreciate any insight into how these two groups compare in terms of PE placement, recruiter perception, and overall exit opportunities. Is there a meaningful difference in how MM PE funds view candidates from these groups, or does it mostly come down to deal experience and networking?
