LMM/MM Healthcare PE in NYC

Anyone have thoughts on any of the following LMM/MM funds? Interested in HC specifically. Any detail on culture, comp, career progression, returns, etc. would be great. Thanks!

  • Oak HC/FT (seem more like MM than LMM)
  • Consonance Capital
  • Veronis Suhler Stevenson
  • Assured Healthcare
  • Regal Healthcare
  • Great Point (not NYC but Greenwich seems potentially commutable)

Ascend Partners and Regal Healthcare are the two I'm familiar with. Unsure about Ascend's returns but Regal did very well in their first fund (pretty sure I know a few of their LPs and they seem very happy with Regal's performance). Both have founding partners (medical doctors) who have built out healthcare companies and sold them for millions. I believe Ascend Partners was started by the former Warburg HC PE head.

Agree with Prospect poster, Consonance is the real deal. Strong operating team too just like the two I mentioned above.

Anyone know anything about Assured? Just raised $750M+ for Fund 2 and seem to be part of some bigger platform
