There are many processes ongoing, I wouldn't say it's quiet

I am aware of Advent that just ended, WP Tech and FS, Onex, Triton, Towerbrooks, Permira, TPG. Silver Lake also happened earlier this year. All of the ones I listed are already well advanced in the process btw. Source is: HH reaching out in the past weeks/months or friends already in the process

Genuine question for London ASO recruiting. Do you recruit for roles a few months in advance, like typical jobs, or do you recruit in your first year analyst days for a role two years out?
Few months in advance
It is definitely more active but with selective requirements for specific languages and targeted backgrounds. Ideally as market continues to open and niches get filled, more roles will come up

What is market comp these days for AS1, across both European MFs and the UMMs and MMs?

Can give you data points for 3 separate firms
- non-US MF: £135k base + £61k bonus (45%)
- US MF: £150k base + £180k-£225k bonus (120-150%) (obvious outlier)
- US UMM: £110k base + £130k-£165k bonus (120-150%)
Outlier being WP or Apollo
Other US fund numbers is Advent I believe
UK MM: 100 + 100 bonus
This feels very much right. Used to be £80 / 80k or 90/90 - but seems to have moved a bit post inflation.
From me and some friends in the space this is it. Agree, bonus being +/- there

Definitely not the case as people won't leave during Christmas time / before bonus gets paid. Usually is more ramping up during March to June i would say
