Los Angeles Private Equity/Family Office Scene

Associated Resource: Family Office Database

All -

I've done 2 years in IB, 2+ years in PE and looking to move to Los Angeles for family reasons. Does any one have a list of the best headhunters for that area? Also any information about what the market is like right now?

CarterPierce is an LA based headhunter that specializes on the West Coast

Amity does Apollo LA and Oaktree Distressed DebtHSP does Oaktree PECPI does Ares PECarter Pierce does Levine, Platinum, Aurora and othersHeard Gores doesn't use headhuntersSearchOne did a search for Clearlake a year or 2 ago

Oh and DSP does Leonard Green

I think pritzker has an LA office on the family office front

Sun Capital also has an office. Not sure if Oxbridge runs that process or not.

Gores uses Carter Pierce and Clearlake has used Carter Pierce in the past. For all reading this, some funds do not use the same recruiter every year. For reference, the fund I am currently at has used three recruiters in four years.

Play the long game - give back, help out, mentor - just don't ever forget where you came from. #Bootstrapped

Interesting.. Didn't realize Gores was under the CarterPierce umbrella. They reached out to a buddy directly a couple years ago.
