Majoring in Politics/Philosophy/Sociology for IB/PE/VC?

Hi all! I'm currently a rising junior at a top liberal arts college with a declared double major in Business Administration and Politics. I'm interning at an asset management fund this summer, and have a UMM IB SA position secured for next summer. I came into college as a Politics major (which I plan to keep as I'm almost done with it) with the intention of going to law school, but I've since diverted to finance, but am still potentially considering going to law school in the future. I've been thinking a lot about switching my double major from Business Administration to either Philosophy or Sociology. My school does not have a Finance major, which I would've majored in if it was offered, but it still offers some finance classes. I've taken a decent amount of Accounting, Economics, and Finance courses at this point, but I'm not certain I would want to major in either of those things. I also am more interested in Philosophy and Sociology, which would keep my GPA much higher for law school if I choose to go in the future. I don't really want to stick with Business Admin because it's just a bunch of random courses at my school and I don't really see any valuable skills I'd gain from staying in it when I could be studying something I actually like. I still plan to take more finance classes at my school even if I switch to Philosophy or Sociology. I'm just worried that future employers in PE/VC/HF etc. wouldn't consider hiring me with a non-Business major, and if it would be the wrong move to switch out of Business Admin or even just force myself to do Econ. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, since I've been thinking a lot about this recently.

It’s all about what sets you up for the job before the buyside assuming you recruit after an analyst program.

So does your major matter for the banking job? Highly dependent on where you go. If you’re at an Ivy, people major in all kinds of random shit and go into IB/MBB (though in my experience marginal edge to the Econ kids if you can get a high gpa). However, if you go to something like Indian, for example, you better be in their business program
